What the service is

StrangerPost lets anyone write an anonymous message that is printed on paper, on someone else's thermal printer.

The service is free and provided as is. We do not guarantee that it is always available, that a message will actually be printed, or that a printer is switched on when you write. The service may change or close at any time.

What you may not send

On this there is no room for tolerance. The following are forbidden: content inciting hatred or violence, harassment, threats, insults aimed at identifiable people, sexual or pornographic content, any content involving minors in a sexualised way, third parties' personal data, spam, advertising and any illegal content.

We apply a zero-tolerance policy towards objectionable content and towards those who submit it.

Moderation

Every message goes through automated filters and may be held for human review.

We may reject, hide from the board, or delete any message, at any time and without notice. We are not required to justify the decision.

Printing is final

When a message is printed, that sheet physically exists in someone else's home or shop. We cannot retrieve it or delete it.

Do not send anything you would not accept becoming permanent and outside your control.

How to report content

If you find content on the board that you consider offensive or illegal, write to abuse@strangerpost.com quoting the message number.

We commit to reviewing every report within 24 hours and to removing the content where the report is well founded.

Blocking abusers

We can prevent further submissions from anyone abusing the service. Since there are no accounts, the block applies to the technical source of the submission.

Your content stays yours

What you write stays yours. By sending a public message you authorise us to publish it on the board, to make it reachable by its number, and to print it on the printers connected to the service.

This authorisation is limited to running the service. We do not sell content and we do not pass it to third parties for other purposes.

Printer owners

Anyone who connects a printer receives and prints messages from strangers, moderated but not chosen by them.

They are responsible for their own station and for the lawful use of what they print. We may suspend an account or revoke a station at any time, in particular if it is being misused.

Liability

Content is created by users. In respect of it we act as a hosting provider and step in when we become aware of unlawful content.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the service, from its unavailability, or from the content of messages sent by others.

Applicable law

Italian law applies. If you use the service as a consumer, the rights and the competent court granted by the mandatory rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
